CENOX TN TABLET

COMPOSITION: Each tablet contains:

  • Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride USP equivalent to Ciprofloxacin ……………….. 500 mg
  • Tinidazole BP …………………………………………. 600 mg

PHARMACOLOGY

Ciprofloxacine is bactericidal and acts on Shigella, Salmonella, E.Coli, Vibro Cholerae etc. It acts by inhibiting DNA Synthesis. Tinidazole is a powerful anaerobicide. It is also effective against Giardia & Entameba.

INDICATIONS

Cenox TN is indicated in infections like digestive, respiratory, gynecological and Post surgical. Cenox TN may also be used to treat other specific severe infections in children and adolescents when the doctor considers this necessary.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

Antacids, calcium, iron, and zinc reduce the absorption of Ciprofloxacin. Concomitant use of cyclosporine may lead to transient increases in serum creatinine. Alcohol consumption is prohibited during usage.
Children under 18 years of age.

ADVERSE EFFECTS

Nausea, vomiting, fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, constipation, sometimes diarrhea, metallic taste, hives, redness, rashes.

DOSAGE & APPLICATIONS

As prescribed by the Physician. 1 Tablet twice daily for 5 - 10 days depending on the severity and response for the treatment of gynecological infections, intra-abdominal infections, and prophylaxis of surgical infections.

STORAGE OR HANDLING RECOMMENDATION

  • Store below 30°C in a cool dry place.
  • Keep the medicine out of reach of children.
  • Do not use the medicine after the expiry date.
