OKUMA CREAM is a brand of Diclofenac, an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent. When used on intact skin, it relieves pain and stiffness and reduces swelling in conditions affecting joints and muscles e.g. sprains, strains, swelling after injuries, painful joints due to rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, backache, etc.
Linseed oil has emollient effect.
Methyl Salicylate is a very potent topical analgesic agent.
Menthol, when applied to skin, dilates the vessels, causing sensation of coldness followed by an analgesic effect.
OKUMA CREAM is readily absorbed through intact skin having rapid onset of action. It has a cooling sensation on the skin.
OKUMA CREAM is indicated for the treatment of Aches and pain of the joints and muscles associated with Arthritis, backaches, sprains and sciatica.
OKUMA CREAM is contraindicated in persons with a history of hypersensitivity to Diclofenac or to any of its active ingredients or excipients
Do not apply on cuts or open wounds.
Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes.
Discontinue use if excessive irritation occurs.
If symptoms persist consult your doctor.
Do not use sunscreens, cosmetics, lotions, moisturizers, insect repellants, or other topical products on the same skin area where the cream is applied, and do not expose the skin where the cream is applied to sunlight and artificial lights.
Drugs like ACE inhibitors, anticoagulants, aspirin, cyclosporine, corticosteroids, diuretics, lithium, methotrexate, other NSAIDs taken by mouth, and other topical treatments (sunscreens, lotions, cosmetics) at the same skin site should not be used during treatment with OKUMA CREAM.
USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
OKUMA CREAM is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.
There are no well-controlled studies of diclofenac in pregnant women.
Human and animal studies indicate that diclofenac crosses the placenta.
In late pregnancy, as with other NSAIDs, OKUMA CREAM should be avoided because it may cause premature closure of the ductus arteriosus.
Adverse effects may include: application-site reactions (skin inflammation, rash) and other allergic reactions
Unscrew the Cap and Puncture seal with piercing point of cap. Gently rub OKUMA CREAM into the affected area. Apply 3-4 times a day.
Do not use for more than 14 days without consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use in children under 12 years of age
OVERDOSAGE:
There has been no experience of overdose with OKUMA CREAM.
In the event of oral ingestion resulting in significant systemic side effects, it is recommended that the stomach be emptied by vomiting or lavage.
Store in a cool, dry and dark place Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
